Well equipped, cosy cottage. Welcome basket a nice touch, thank you. Everything one needs for a comfortable stay. Ideal for touring the Suffolk countryside which is really pretty, some very picturesque villages. Car parking a 'no go' best stating 'free street parking close by'. Co-op very handy for general groceries. Enjoyed our stay and would possibly come again in the future. Thank you. Mary & Geoff, March 2009

2008:

Extremely comfortable, well appointed cottage with a very welcoming atmosphere. We usually use 'self catering cottages' when we go away and this is up there with some of the best we've seen. Location is perfect for exploring too. Would stay here again and recommend to others. Joss & Chris December 2008

Fantastic Cottage - really well laid out. Perfect for visiting family who live in Fram! We will definately be coming back again & many thanks for the welcome basket! Melissa, David, Davey & Joe, November 2008

Thank you so much for letting us stay in your lovely cottage, we have really enjoyed our stay. We found everything even better than we had hoped! A real home from home. We will be passing on your details to freinds and family. The welcome basket is a delightful touch - thank you. We found all the information about local attractions very helpful, made planning our short break so much easier. We both love the room at the top, watching the sun go down was really special. Penny & Dennis, November 2008

We had a lovely time, cottage was fantastic and a great base. We didn't have a car but for the short amount of time there was plenty to do. Lisa & James, November 2008.

We simply loved our stay in your cottage and in the area! Thank you for your welcome basket which made us feel at home straight away. We found the house warm and cosy and it more than met our expectations. We also particularly enjoyed Southwold, Orford Castle, Framlingham of course, Ipswich and the frienly people of Suffolk! We'll keep fond memories of our week...Thanks! Partrick, valerie, Maxime & Thomas, October 2008

We all loved this little cottage. Evertthing you could want for an enjoyable stay though we only ate breakfast here. We have been to Framlingham many times as my Dad was born here and left in 1940. We still find lots of places to visit but we were also here because Dad wanted to visit two remaining sisters one in Fram - one in Ipswich who is ninety this month. I have cousins here also. Your cottage is perfect, just walking distance from where we needed to go. So I hope to be coming here again. The welcome basket was lovely on arrival. Barbara, Brian & Victor. September 2008

Well equipped and comfortable. Thanks very much. Sue, Adrian, Ross and Laura. August 2008

Once again we enjoyed our visit to Suffolk and the cosiness of No. 6. This time we had our grandson, Michael with us and he loved 'his room' and the views over Framlingham. Our weather was exceptional - very hot and sunny and just a bit too warm at times. With having a thirteen year old with us we relived some childhood fun - kite flying at Dunwich and crabbing at Walberswick; plus lots of boy things like Parham Airfieldand Flixton Air Museum. A really good time had by all. Thank you for the welcome pack and once again the excellent facilities at Courtyard Cottage. Hope to return soon. Lynda & Robert, August 2008

A very enjoyable stay, will definately return, thank you. Michael. August 2008

2nd Visit to cottage, as always very clean and cosy. Problem with Washing Machine - sorted promptly, nice to finally meet you David. Great fortnight, hope to be back next year. Joanna & Heather. July 2008

Very enjoyable few days in the cottage. Really comfortable and cosy - and the welcome pack much appreciated! Would definatelyrecommend to others and hope to be back soon. Thank you! Rob. Alison, Kieran & Jack. May 2008

Enjoyed our stay. Weather was brilliant. Thank you for the welcome pack. We'll be back! Diane, Sylv & Mick. May 2008

What a great place to spend a relaxing Easter (Snow was a bonus especially for the Aussies) Everything on your doorstep and cracking cottage. Looking forward to coming back! Sally-Anne, Johnny & Bec. March 2008

Sadly a short but nice stay in this lovely cottage. Framlingham is a quiet historic village, a good place to explore Suffolk. 6 Vyces Road isvery well equipped - there was nothing missing, everything is well organised. We liked the mint colour in kitchen and living room and the blue in the bathroom. Thank you very much for the tasty welcome basket - it was very helpful. Albrecht, Max & Julius. February 2008.

We have had a really lovely time here - stunning weather, really comfortable, well-equipped and warm cottage, interesting town to potter around. A perfect weekend to enjoy for ouselves with our girls away on Guide Camp and Ski-ing. We would love to come back with them sometime too - they would love the castle and some of the shops! John & Lesley, February 2008.

A very cosy and well equipped cottage. We have had the most enjoyable stay in this lovely town. Thoroughly recommended. p.s. Thanks for the welcome pack & coming out to rescue us with the heating! John & Gretchen, January 2008

A lovely cottage warm and cosy and always a pleasure to return to in the eveings. We would recommend the cottage to anybody.Maria & John, October 2007

An absolute Gem of a cottage - attractively decorated and comfortable. A bargain out of season - this week we have has superb weather for coastal walks and birdwatching. Appreciated welcome pack. Quiet neighbours (except for dogs!) - next door helpful and knowledgeable if needed. Paul, Alison, Richard & Val. October 2007

Cottage is lovely - all the local information has proved very very useful and helpful. Tastefully decorated and well equipped - excellent shower! Lovely area, this is my first visit to Suffolk..it certainly wont be my last. Linde, September 2007

This my third time back to the cottage. First time without the kids! Excellent in its facilitoies, locations and Louise was right about the Station pub food, I hadn't gone there before. Bumped into Vicar at Parish Church who is a real character. We were warmly invited in on a rainy day and shown round. We went to Sutton Hoo this time and given a well informed tour. Aldeburgh is as lovely as ever. Philip, September 2007.

Very good weather all week. Enjoyed the Castle and the church. Good ice cream on ythe square. Welcome was welcome! The Hunts, August 2007.

Lovely cottage. Very clean and well equipped...shame aboiut the parking. Framlingham is a lovely place and Cara rea;lly enjoyed the castle. Welcome pack was very useful and Grandma esecially loved the jame! Sarah, Rob, Cara and Grandma. July 2007.

Lovely stay and lovely house. Excellent facilities - everything you could posssibly need! Thank you. You will be highly recommended. Katy and Jonathan. July 2007.

Excellent house - very convenient for touring and seeing the sights of Suffolk. Well furnished and great TV for nighht time viewing. Recommend local Co-op for shopping. We were fortunate to have typical Suffolk Weather. Robin & Maureen June 2007.

Thank you for a lovely few days in a great cottage. Typical bank holiday weather so it was great to be close to so many interesting places. Loved building sand castles at Southwold and exploring Aldeburgh and Woodbridge. Nice meal with roarring fire at Red Lion Inn at Woodbridge. Looking forward to coming back with the sunshine. Isobel, Andrew, Jpoe & Alex. May 2007

Imaginative use of limited space. Very impressive decor and fittings. A fine place in a lovely market town. Check out station hotel for great beer & food. J & R, March 2007

Thank you for the opportunity to stay in this wonderful little cottage. We've had a great time, especially having our grand-daughter staying who was doing her exams at the college. We appreciated everything being supplied and it was a nice quiet place to relax in the evenings after hectic days of sightseeing & shopping. Vic & Angela, March 2007

Lovely warm and cosy cottage. very well equipped, everything we needed. We loved the village and castle. What a lovely county Suffolk is, even in Winter. We really enjoyed our week. Thank you so much. Judith, Heather & Holly, Feb 2007

2006:

We received a friendly welcome and short but informative tour. The cottage is very well equipped, clean and imaginatively furnished. Especially good things; comfortable beds, comprehensive tourist information and maps, local produce in welcome basket. Mick, Alison & Stuart, Warwick.

Lovely Cottage, well appointed. Parking is a tad tight (ford galaxy). Framlingham has plenty of facilities and the coast is fantastic. The locals in our experience were very friendly. Amanda, Mike Kathlyn & Patrick, Basingstoke

My stay here was fantastic; I really enjoyed it & had a great time. The cottage is superb, very well equipped with everything we need. We had a brilliant time at the coast. Nothing bad to say about it apart from the parking was a bit tight but it wasn't much of a problem. Framlingham was great & hope to return one day. THANKS. Loved the welcome pack and leaflets on tourism attractions and children loved sky TV. Derek, Sue, Lauren & Alex, Leeds

We had a lovely stay in Suffolk and couldn't have wished for better weather. We were very impressed with your cottage, the photos we saw didn't do it justice. There are some very thoughtful little touches, thank you for the welcome basket, the fridge/freezer is a good size and we watched a few of the videos. The upper bedroom was a decent size, even for our tall children. The stairs are....interesting, but not a problem. From your description I was concerned that being so close to the amenities, the cottage would be on a busy road but far from it, we fed ourselves from the fish and chip shop, pizza grill and the Indian restaurant. We will definitely consider Suffolk for future holidays and the cottage will be on our list of potential places to stay. The McCarthy Family

We had a very nice stay. The cottage is very nice, had everything that we required. The parking was very tight but didn't spoil our stay. Many thanks. Michael & Lindsey, Northamptonshire

We both had a very enjoyable week at this lovely accommodation. The location is ideal for exploring Suffolk and its attractions and perfect for Framlingham itself and its castle. We can’t find anything to critise apart from the mixed weather – can you arrange something better for us next time please! Parking the Fiat Punto wasn't a problem. Many thanks. Craig Whitby & Marie Thomas, Nottingham

A lovely place to stay, comfortable with excellent facilities. The welcome pack was a lovely gesture and the information leaflets a good & useful idea. We would love to return. Thank you so much. Chris, Derek, Jonathan & Joe, Berkshire

Good value and well thought out! The welcome pack and information was excellent. It's a lovely place. The big drawback is the car parking. We've got a Xantia and I gave up and parked in the free Town Car Park and took the chance. I think potential holiday makers should be warned if they are coming in anything bigger than a SMART car. If I was going to be picky on such an excellent house I'd put some cushions on the sofas. On the whole though lovely facilities and clean. Philip, Tom & Henry, Cheshire

Note: Extra cushions now added to the sofas. Confirmations now include details on the small parking space.

We enjoyed our first visit to Suffolk and our stay at Vyces Road but the week was just not long enough to visit the places that we hoped to visit. Just a couple of suggestions that your guests might appreciate;

Coat hooks in kitchen or rear lobby as guests don't have anywhere to hang wet coats.

Large wall mirror in bedroom for dressing. We wish you every success for your future lettings!

Keith, June & John, Banbury Oxfordshire

Note: Coat hooks and long mirror now installed.

Lovely little town house, well equipped and tastefully decorated, also comfortable and clean. Carol says her stay would have been enhanced by the use of a full length mirror in the bedroom. Cottage ideally positioned to explore Suffolk with Framlingham castle a highlight right on the doorstep. Other highlights include:

Southwold

Felixstowe (surprisingly clean town)

Aldeburgh

The wonderful Kings Head pub at Laxfield; great beer, great food, lovely gardens.

Now in need of another holiday due to all the walking we have done all in weather which was perfect all week. GREAT! Jeff & Carol Fordham, Swindon, Wilts

Note: We have now installed a full length mirror

Lovely holiday, blessed with good weather & clean, spacious accommodation and facilities. Parking? Enough said but problem would be resolved by removal of greenery on the walls adjacent to the driveway. Lovely town, a piece of old England and hence very enjoyable together with the surrounding areas. Thank you most sincerely.Lorna & Gordon, Essex

We had a lovely week everything great car fitted in like a glove. One hook on right hand side of units kept falling off. Thank you very much for the food parcel it came in very handy. Dot and Trevor, Isle of Wight

Note: Hook fixed!

We have had a fantastic time here in Suffolk. The weather has been gorgeous this week and the house has been perfect to use as a base, besides being very well equipped with everything we could possibly need. A Must
All in all this week couldn’t have been better and we will recommend a stay at no.6 Vyces Road to friends and family. Thanks for the welcome pack it was a nice touch. Kay and Steve, Wigan

A fabulous cottage a perfect home-from home! I don’t cook on holiday but if I did I wouldn’t be short of anything except the ingredients. The food around here is perfect. We spent a lot of time in the White Horse next door, their food is great and Sean the barman is a sweetie. You must visit the Ice cream van who parks outside the Saxtead Green Post Mill for the best Ice Cream ever. Thanks for the basket. We will strongly recommend. Gwyn & Christina, Halifax

A long trip but worth it for a nice well-equipped cottage and interesting area. Excellent food from local shops (try Earl Soham brewery) and superb meal in “off the square” – not cheap though. Roger & TJ, Pembroke

We found the cottage to be absolutely ideal for our holiday. It is a really nice cottage with no hint of chintz or floweriness. We loved both the staircases, both funky and unusual. Framlingham is a nice market town with lots to see as long as you can get your head around half day closing at 4pm Saturday and lunch ending at 2pm (yes we are complete townies). This is the first time we have been to Suffolk, but we would definitely come back, that said our favourite place was Norwich! Mark and Claire, Cheshire

We have really enjoyed our week here. Lovely cottage, fully equipped but a nice mirror over the fireplace would enhance the room with probably glass coals in the grate and mantle clock. The kitchen fireplace would look nice with a floral arrangement or similar, apart from that very tastefully furnished and decorated. Welcome hamper was appreciated, a very nice gesture. Our daughter loved the top bedroom and views, stairs are very different! Lovely area all round, lots to see. Aldeburgh fish bar recommended, also the White Horse down the road. Windmill also at Saxstead. Managed to park Nissan Micra OK in space. Best wishes from 3 satisfied guests. Mike, Maureen and Cindy, Birmingham

Note: Mirror added over fireplace, kitchen fireplace now homes recycling bins (sorry!)

We endorse all previous positive comments. Very enjoyable relaxing week. Superb area to exploit, with a lot less traffic. Locals very friendly and helpful. Must visit the Dolphin for fish and chips at Aldeburgh. This is a Mecca if you enjoy your fish as mentioned by Rick Stein. Good food especially the Calvary at the windmill, Saxstead. Thanks for the goodies. Richard and Jean, Southend-on-sea

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the welcome pack. As advised the parking was rather snug as was the driveway. Cottage well equipped. Coat hooks on bedroom and bathroom does would be great. Continue to love Suffolk for its scenery and the friendly folk. One of England’s finest counties. P.S. Indian restaurant was great. Deborah & Ralph, Surrey

Note: Over-door hooks added to bathroom door

Very well equipped cottage. Weather was not so kind so appreciated the warmth. Welcome pack was a nice touch. Parking the car was easy unparking varied from nightmare to impossible. Next time will park elsewhere. Thanks enjoyed our stay. Rita & James, Lincolnshire
